a cat named Ascii

there once was a cat named Ascii. what more is there to say?

jump, meow, and catch mice in this short but sweet 2D platformer made for the Everything Is Text Jam 1 in just under two weeks.

Controls:

• A & D or <- & -> ---- move left or right
• space ---- jump (twice to double jump)
• left click ---- meow
• esc ---- pause (option to restart level)

Fonts Used:

• Courier New  ---- all ascii art
• UbuntuMono Regular ---- all text (and npc faces)

Software Used:

• Unity ---- game engine
• BeepBox ---- music
• NaturalReader ---- text to speech used for sound effects

a quick note, there seems to be an occasional problem with hitboxes interacting strangely and making you get stuck on platforms. if this happens, simply pause and restart the level.
